I would like to assign this role to some trustowrthy members of the community. So if you (@Canassman, @Backdoorlover, @Colt1911 and others) can recommend somebody, please do. I believe you know the people here better than I do, so it doesn't have to be somebody with the biggest number of posts here, just somebody who cares... Otherwise I guess I will try next people in the most active members list here.

This is a great group but mostly dominated by males. In the last six months or so we’ve had at least three females actively participate in discussions. @AbbiTur05 , @TelJ2003 and @Analwife15 come to mind as possible moderator candidates. Gender really shouldn’t matter but it might give other women who want to engage on the forum confidence there are women moderators as well. Just a thought.

Exactly what was stated by others - some female mods provide perspectives other than male mods.

Moderating is a job anyone with a correct way of thinking can do. I have the idea that on this firum, there is never any need to intervene in disputes. I’ve been on forums where faul language was used when people aggitated eachother and the mods there needed to delete content or complete topics due to that.

We don’t seem to have that.

When looking at the new rules, I think we should remove any pornographic pics in non-porn sections. Cause things like last year, that guy posting pics of his “slaves” all over the forum was not something we should allow. And we know damn well that guy will vanish in 2 months but the pics are still there.

So I don’t think a female perspective will be different, when applying the rules. But if girls/women want to chip in, there very welcome.

That is quite a question...

So far I am thinking more about making a mirror backup of this site and putting it online in case that it really dies. Just a read only copy.

It would be really nice to to migrate it and just continue but I can see at least three problems with it:
1) Technical - which is not really a problem, just the step in doing it. As I don't have an access to database of the forum, it has to be downloaded and parsed and all posts and replies extracted in order to push it into new forum's database.
2) User accounts - I would not be able to migrate them as I do not see any registration details, only usernames. And what about usernames? Should they stay the same or be some placeholders? As I am not able to verify that the account on the new forum is the same as on the old, somebody could easily register someones name from old forum and pretend to be them on new forum. So it would have to be placeholders then, something like OLD/Backdoorlover.?
3) Legal - I am absolutely sure I do not have any license to the content of this forum. So I cannot just copy it and publish it on new website. I guess there would be nobody to take me to the court for it. But it is just not the right thing to do.

So far I can imagine only one way around number 3 in the list. Making a thread here where anybody could from their will give their consent for migrating their own posts and replies. Then I believe I can legaly migrate their content to new site, even under their own new account.

Problem is that there would be holes in the threads from replies that would not get migrated, like from people who would not want it or people who are for long away and have no idea they are needed to do this. And it could become a mess...

So what do you think? Any ideas?

Honestly you’ve done a ton of great work to keep things going. I don’t want u to take on more labour than necessary. Those options have similar issues I’d be concerned abt, particularly the legal issues. I support the mirror idea.
