I'd like to suggest that this first post has to be 'liked' by at least two existing members. If they turned out to be a spammer than both the new poster would be banned and the two existing members would have their membership revoked.

This should reduce at least some of the load on the long-suffering sysop while fostering community involvement and empowerment. Should also filter out the 'instant hookup' crowd.

Alright, so far it seems that all technical requirements mentioned are easily doable with custom plugins and others are already supported out of the box. So if that's fine with you I can put what I have prepared online to run on the new domain. Now there is non-technical stuff that needs to be prepared - thinking about rules etc.. and also check if there is anything else that needs to be modified before letting people use it.

I suggest to make @Canassman and @Backdoorlover first moderators there. If you are okay with that and want that. Please let me know. You can then choose who else to add. Or suggest them straight away. More heads know more.

You would then be the first to see and use the new forum and tell what else needs to be set up or changed to meet what community needs.

Please let me know if that sounds alright or you have different idea...
